Join us for an easy fall hike around Sparks Lake on the Ray Atkeson Memorial Trail. We will start with free coffee (BYOM*) while supplies last, then hike the 2.5-mile loop through pine forest and lava formations, with beautiful views of Sparks Lake, South Sister, and Broken Top.
This is a family-friendly hike with very little elevation gain. The first section is paved and leads to a scenic overlook, so anyone who prefers a shorter outing can turn around there. The full loop continues over some rocky and uneven terrain before returning along the lake.
Bring water, snacks, sturdy shoes, and layers for changing mountain weather. You are also welcome to bring lunch and hang out with us by the lake after the hike.
